Nasty harmonica and rattley strings will accompany you wailing the blues in “Love Don’t Leave Me Alone” with the rest of the audience. We’ll all get our barnyard yelling, white boy clapping, and funky dancing on for “Mud Song,” and our new “Be Thou My Vision” will make the air thick. If you don’t know what that means, you’ll need to experience it. If you come to one acoustic show this year, make it this one, people!

Yes, please mark your calendar now to join us. The ridiculously talented Barry Patterson will open with a singer/songwriter set from his new album 7000 miles.

The Blackthorn Project will then play songs from Reckless, with Steve Holley manning the upright bass.

Inspired by Psalm 139, this is the first song I wrote after the birth of our first daughter, Elizabeth Caroline, whose name means “Beautiful woman consecrated to God.”

I wrote it for her as a mother’s blessing, that she would know her place in the Father’s heart and trust in his goodness.

I wanted to post this as the next song as we are inside 3 weeks until the birth of our second daughter, and my heart is full of joy and anticipation.
