3-b. Fun notes on this version of “Mud Song”: In the Reckless session, the recording of “Mud Song” takes on a bit of Andean influence since the Simple Series release. This is a result of Tim’s recent trips to Peru where he was given a charango. The song features Steve Holley on upright bass, Karla Adolphe, Aaron Strumpel (also producer of Reckless), and Ben and Robin Pasley from Enter the Worship Circle: Fourth Circle on group party vocals! Tim and Aaron do the lo-fi percussion.

We are working hard at getting our new album, “Reckless,” done. Still on track to release it in June at Worship@8500 (go reserve your camp spots now at worshipat8500.com). I’m (Laurie) SO excited for it! Last night we put some crazy gang vocals with the whole 4th Circle crew–Karla, Ben and Robin, and Aaron–on a few songs, including Mud Song and the title track, “Reckless.” Seriously, it was so fun that I wish I were doing it again tonight. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time!

Anyway, here’s a new video for your viewing enjoyment. I’m off to record some lead vocals at Aaron’s house.
