Vision:
We want to help people experience and be transformed by the love of Jesus and the message of his Kingdom.
Journey:
We see the body of Christ as one so we enjoy working to connect people to one another and to Jesus through music, storytelling, and songwriting. We do this across cultures, and our lives are being transformed in the process as well.

How we do it:
- Enjoy, write, and offer honest words and music, especially music that explores and illuminates this transforming journey.
- Travel stateside and abroad, especially in Latin America, to teach, lead worship, and perform concerts in houses, fellowships, retreats, and in other venues.
- Pastor and disciple individuals as part of the ministry of reconciliation to the one church: the Body of Christ.
- Join in partnership with pastors/teachers/relief workers/builders/artists/other missionaries, serving and equipping those who build the family of God.
- Direct our music, teaching, and other gifts toward growing a community of people who believe and people who don’t.
- Encourage that community to discover Jesus, their own creativity and their connectedness with each other.
- Teach/share our knowledge of basic songwriting, instrumental, writing, and other artistic skills.
- Cultivate our gifts for others through practice and periods of retreat.
The Blackthorn Project is committed to professional management, is submitted to clear oversight, and prioritizes relational connection as well as the creation of media for the Body of Christ and those who haven’t yet come to believe. Your comments and questions are welcome.
