Christmas special: new raven t-shirts

Posted on Monday, December 15, 2008 in enter the worship circle, merchandise

Feeling the holiday approach at light-speed? Welp, here’s a very cool, sustainable, and meaningful gift idea:

“Food From The Raven” t-shirts

Themed after a lyric from “Too Proud” off the Fourth Circle CD, our new shirts are designed by just for us by local artists, and are sweatshop-free Alternative Apparel. They also have The Blackthorn Project web address in small print on the back (in the spot where you can’t scratch).

The mens’ style is super-comfy and soft heathered navy (the very top image on this page shows the color contrast best), while the womens’ is a lighter blue “destroyed t” which is like your favorite 5-year old shirt, complete with some fraying around the collar.

Free Shipping Until After Christmas!

We’ve also turned off shipping in our entire store until after Christmas, and we’ll guarantee delivery by Christmas within the 48 states if you order by midnight on Wednesday, Dec 17th.

You get to support local artists, sweatshop-free manufacturing, artist ministers (that would be us!), and delight someone with a cool, unique shirt. You can order here: http://www.theblackthornproject.com/merch/

“Too Proud” video with Aaron Strumpel

Posted on Thursday, March 27, 2008 in enter the worship circle, video

Recorded at Bongo Billy’s Salida Cafe on March 22, 2008, “Too Proud” was written from Psalm 81 by Aaron and the Thorntons. When we read the words, we thought about how akward it is–and how reluctant we sometimes are–to approach the divine, but the glorious miracles that can happen when we approach in belief. I like this song because even if I’m not in a place where I feel like I can sing to God, I can ask “Can you sing over me…?”

Visit theblackthornproject.com where the audio recording of this song is now available on a CD called Fourth Circle. Tim, Laurie, and Aaron collaborated with many other great musicians on the album–it’s in the series of Enter the Worship Circle projects–more at entertheworshipcircle.com. Aaronstrumpel.com will tell you more about the guy with the mic in front of his face. Mysterious.
